Dhaka--- Inspired by its success in small-scale projects in 2000 Germany will provide financial assistance of up to Tk 50 lakh to smaller local NGOs in the current year.

German Embassy in Bangladesh doubled its budget for this year’s micro-project activities.

German Ambassador in Dhaka Uwe Schramm signed the respective project agreements with local NGOs here yesterday.

The money will be spent in 11 carefully selected projects at the grass root level, said a press release.
